The department trains highly qualified personnel in all areas of undergraduate studies which exists in the institute (Service (according to areas of activity), organization and management of the hotel industry, Finance, Economics, Management) and 3 joint direction of education with Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin

At the same time, there are 11.75 staff units, 16 professors and 1 factory office. Iz nix 4 doctor of economics, professor; 2 candidates of economic studies, docenty; 1 candidate, associate professor; 4 candidates, and 2 senior teachers and 13 teachers (assistants).

During the existence of the department, the faculty of the department prepared and published more than 10 textbooks (according to the standard of the Ministry), about 100 manuals (according to the model of the Ministry), more than 100 manuals and guidelines. Also during this period, the staff of the department published about 1000 articles in foreign and domestic scientific journals. Among them, more than 10 are in Scopus journals.

In the first years of the institute's existence, the department of "Foreign Languages" was renamed the "Sector of Languages", and in 1936 the team began to work as a department.

The Department of Foreign Languages began its work at the institute from the first steps of practical training of students in the amount of 240 hours. The department teaches Uzbek, Tajik, Russian, Kazakh, Turkmen, Kyrgyz, Karakalpak, German, English languages on the basis of practical classes.

In the second half of the 70s, due to the increase in the contingent of the Institute, the number of professors and teachers of the department increased, and the Department of "Languages" was divided into two independent teams: "Russian Language" and "Foreign Language". Russian Russian Philology Faculty lecturer N.N.Namozov was invited to the post of head of the department. A team was formed from such professors and teachers as dots.N.F.Pak, M.M.Shebarshina, L.G.Korobeynikova, L.M.Lizova, A.A.Rakhmonova, T.A.Zotov, R.G.Borukhova, K.I.Kim, O.G.Miratnichenko, G.A.Gparinina, N.I.Samibaeva, S.A.Adilova, T.H., Nazirov, D.J. Mirzayeva.

From 1976 to 1992, the Department of Languages was twice divided into independent departments, and then reorganized into one team. Members of the department "Languages" T.Kh.Nazirov, S.Adilova, L.Yu.Khusainova, Z.A.Nasrullaeva, N.N.Namozov completed their research work and received the degree of "Candidate of Philological Sciences".

In 2004, one of the young researchers, senior lecturer Mardiev T.K. was appointed head of the department "Languages". In 2013, by decision of the Academic Council No. 2 of SamSIES, the department was renamed the Department of Foreign Languages.

Currently, the following teachers work at the department. Associate professors: L.Yu.Khusainova, R.D.Samandarov, I.B.Mattiev; Senior teachers: S.B.Kipchakova; Teachers O. Ostonov, N. Imamov, G.Shodieva, D.Abdullaeva, D.Abulhairov, U.Bolbekova, A.Yokubov.
