Both a trip and a festival: SIES students in Navoi

The Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service, in cooperation with Navoi State University, organized a youth tourism festival titled “Tourist Caravan to Navoi: Ethnoculture and National Sports.”

On the first day of the festival, a seminar was held on “Effective Use of the Tourism Potential of Navoi Region and Prospects for Its Development,” along with the Zakovat intellectual game, football and volleyball competitions, and a “Student Party” program. During the seminar, SIES specialists presented the results of their work aimed at developing the tourism potential of the Nurata, Khatirchi and Kyzyltepa districts.

The second day of the festival continued at the Sarmyshsay State Museum-Reserve. Participants learned about the historical and tourism significance of the site and actively took part in national sports competitions, cultural performances and the preparation of national dishes.

The festival contributed to the development of domestic tourism among young people, the promotion of national values and the strengthening of cooperation between higher education institutions.
